The people we love become our seasons!

The People We Love Become Our Seasons

Have you ever met someone who felt like an autumn evening?

Not because of what they said or what they did, but because how they made us feel. Calm. Gentle. Easy to be around.

Have you ever smelled rain? Before the first drop touched the ground? That strange comfort that arrives before the storm itself?

The awkwardness that the July rain and the noon sun share reminds me of people with different minds. They may never fully understand each other, yet they still find themselves standing on the same ground, under the same sky.

And then there are people who feel like mid-August. A special ones!

A season difficult to define or maybe words aren't enough to explain!

Not quite the fierce summer, not entirely the comforting rain. A little sunshine, a little storm, and a little bit of magic in between.

They arrive carrying warmth in one hand and calm in the other.

Some days they glow like golden evenings, lighting up every corner they touch. On other days, they arrive quietly, bringing the same comfort as rain tapping against a window after a long day.

They are contradictions that somehow make perfect sense.

The warmth of summer, the gentleness of rain, the patience of autumn, and the resilience of winter, all meeting in one soul.

Perhaps that's why they are unforgettable.

Like mid-August, they don't belong to just one season.

They carry pieces of many, yet somehow create a season of their own.

I think people and seasons share a deeper connection than we notice.

Sometimes, the weather outside and the conversations inside our hearts seem to speak the same language.

Some people are like rain.

They sit beside you during your darkest nights, saying little, yet somehow making everything feel lighter. Their presence settles your chaos the way rain settles dust, cooling everything it touches.

Some people are like the afternoon sun.

Bright, intense, impossible to ignore. They challenge you, push you, and sometimes even burn you. Yet they help you grow in ways comfort never could.

Some people are autumn winds.

They arrive quietly. No grand entrance. No loud promises. But somehow, after meeting them, you find yourself changing. Letting go of things you no longer need, just as trees surrender their leaves.

Just like the wind, they never stay in one form.

One moment they're a friend who laughs with you, the next they're a teacher guiding you, and sometimes they're the family that quietly stands beside you when you need them most, they got your back despite the situation you were locked.

They change their role without ever changing their heart.
Through every version of themselves, they teach us something, comfort us, challenge us, and help us grow.

And the beautiful part is that we don't just love one side of them we love every form they choose to be.

And then there are the winter souls.

The ones who stand with you when life feels cold and empty. They teach you that warmth isn't found in the season itself, but in the people who choose to stay.
And somehow, they always stay!

Some people are like the evening sun. One kiss from them, and suddenly your face wears gold, while your eyes catch that quiet brown glow only sunsets know how to give,
We all look for them , wait for them and the thing is they never disappoint us!

Maybe that's why we remember certain people for years.

Not because of what they said or what they did, but because of how they felt.

The reason we love them isn't just who they are, it's who they were when we needed them most. It's the way they made us feel, even while carrying storms of their own.

Every season has its harsh days. Rain becomes a storm, summer becomes unbearable, winter turns cold. Yet somehow, they never miss a chance to offer comfort, warmth, or hope!

Maybe that's why some people become our favorite seasons, not because they're perfect, but because they chose to make us feel loved even amidst their own chaos.

The people we love don't just become memories.

They become our seasons.

  1. Honestly, this felt like poetry hidden inside prose. The comparisons felt gentle and comforting to read. And the mid-august part was so beautifully written. Something that stays with people even after reading.

  2. This was beautifully written and will remain my personal favourite among your works. "They are contradictions that somehow make perfect sense" instantly stood out to me. I found myself rereading this paradox again and again. The people who leave the deepest impact on us often embody opposing qualities, and how that very tension gives the line both emotional and literary depth. Also, "the awkwardness that the July rain and the noon sun share..." instantly made me smile. I literally pictured the rain and the sun awkwardly staring at each other for showing up at the same time. The imagery is so vivid. Way to go. "liveinmyopinion" - with pleasure!
