YOU'RE LOVED 🫂🌸
You Are Loved
Most people carry the quiet belief that they are not loved enough.
Some feel like nobody understands them. Some believe they are always the second choice. Others think they are forgotten, overlooked, or left behind. With enough time, these thoughts start to feel like facts.
But I believe the truth is much simpler.
You are loved.
Your friends remember your favorite food. Your parents wait for your call. Someone checks to see if you got home safely. A smile from anyone can show love.
Love exists!
The problem isn't the lack of love. The problem is our expectation that love should come in a specific way. We want to be loved the way we think we should be.
We don't just want people to love us. We want them to love the exact version of ourselves that we cherish the most. We want them to admire the qualities we see in ourselves. We wish for them to notice the parts we have worked hardest to build. We want them to appreciate us in a way we understand.
When they don't, we conclude they don't love us at all.
But every person who enters our life sees a different side of us.
A friend may love your sense of humor.
A sibling may appreciate your reliability.
A parent may enjoy your presence.
A stranger may admire your kindness.
Someone may love your confidence.
Another person may value the vulnerability you try so hard to hide.
No two people see the same person when they look at you. Every relationship is built on a different version of who you are. That's why everyone who loves you is loving a different side of you.
The irony is we often demand to be loved completely while revealing only parts of ourselves.
We show our strengths and hide our fears. We share our victories but conceal our failures. We show the good parts of our lives and wonder why nobody gets the storms we face.
Then one day we complain that nobody truly knows us.
How can they?
People can only love what they can see.
Sometimes, in our desire to be understood, we make another mistake.
We try to force people to love a specific side of us.
We point to certain qualities and hope they will admire them. We push people toward the version of ourselves we want validated.
But love does not thrive under pressure.
The more we try to control how others should love us, the less natural that love feels. Appreciation turns into obligation. Affection becomes expectation. Curiosity can lead to exhaustion.
You cannot force someone to love a part of you.
You can only let them discover you.
Perhaps the biggest act of acceptance is letting people love the version of you they genuinely connect with.
Then there's the fear of missing out.
The feeling that everyone else has found something we haven't.
A better life.
A better relationship.
A better opportunity.
A better group of friends.
At some point, everyone feels this way. We look around and convince ourselves that everyone is moving forward while we are standing still.
But feelings are not proof.
Just because you feel left out at one moment does not mean you've been left out of life.
Sometimes we get so focused on what we think we’re missing that we fail to see what is already there.
We miss conversations because we worry about connections we don’t have.
We lose opportunities by comparing them to ones we think others have.
We overlook people while searching for different ones.
And in doing so, we create the very absence we fear.
Another idea that puzzles me is this: "The right people will come at the right time."
It sounds comforting.
But what is a right person?
Is there anyone who is right all the time?
Does a moment arrive without uncertainty, confusion, or imperfection?
I don't think so.
Most of the time, "the right people" are simply those we learn to accept.
And "the wrong people" often don't fit the story we have already built in our minds.
Life is rarely perfect.
People seldom arrive complete.
Moments don't usually announce themselves as ones that will matter.
Meaning is typically discovered afterward, not before.
Perhaps the issue is not that we are surrounded by the wrong people or living in the wrong moment.
Maybe the problem is our refusal to accept what is already in front of us.
We keep waiting for life to match our expectations, while it offers itself in forms we never considered.
Maybe love is the same way.
Maybe the question shouldn’t be, "Who loves me exactly how I want to be loved?"
Perhaps a better question is, "How many people are already loving me in the ways they know how?"
Because you are loved.
Not by everyone.
Not perfectly.
Not completely.
Not always in a language you understand.
But loved, nonetheless.
Sometimes, recognizing that is enough to change everything.
There is something more important than being loved.
It’s loving.
Many of us become fixated on how much love we receive.
Who texted first?
Who remembered?
Who cared more?
Who stayed?
Who left?
We count the love coming our way and forget to pay attention to the love we give.
But maybe life isn’t about being the most loved person in the room.
Maybe it’s about being the person who loves most honestly.
Love was never meant to be a prize.
It was meant to be a way to express ourselves.
Oddly enough, when you stop chasing love and start sharing it, life starts to feel fuller.
Not because suddenly more people love you.
But because you stop living in scarcity.
You begin to live in abundance.
The more you embrace yourself, the more you shine for others.
When you stop hiding your flaws, seeking approval, and downplaying parts of yourself to meet expectations, people can see you clearly.
And people can only love what they can truly see.
A flower doesn’t need to persuade anyone to admire it.
It just blooms.
Maybe we should do the same.!!
The thoughts felt so raw, honest, and deeply human.
